King's Gambit Online Chess School Players Shine in Huge Chess Tournaments

King's Gambit Online Chess School players of Coach Richard Villaseran continue to reap wins after wins in national tournaments with National Masters Keith Ilar and John Cyrus Borce leading a 1-2 finish in the U17 Henry Oaminal rapid tournament in Ozamiz City to bring home P60,000 and P30,000 respectively. 8 year old prodigy Lee Partosa tied for 3rd in rhe U13.

Prior to that, several players of King's Gambit shone in the prestigious National Age Group Grandfinals held in Dapitan City with Cyriene Borce winning 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal in the U12 Girls category. NM Ilar and Vincent Ryu Dimayuga went undefeated on their way to finishing 2nd place in the standard category of the U14 and U16 category. Not to be outdone, Ralz Devibar bagged the silver in the U12 blitz; David Azuela was 3rd in the U14 standard; NM Michael Jan Inigo took the silver in the U18 rapid; Dimayuga and National Master Borce brought homemedals in the U18 Open Rapid.

Coach Villaseran's wards are also seeking more victories with NM Ilar gunning for the title in the ongoing Eastern Asia Age Group U16 in Malaysia, while NM Inigo, NM Pat Ferdolf Macabulos and Devibar are competing in the ongoing Palarong Pambansa.

In August, Dimayuga will banner the Philippines competing in the ASEAN Age group in Laos.
