DAVAO CITY – Businessman Ernie Ortonio will also run as president of the Davao Regional Football Association [DRFA] on July 6 at the Acacia Hotel in Lanang.

The 72-year-old Ortonio is a former director of the Davao Football Association [DFA] headed by the late Victorio “Vic” Sai.

“I can’t remember what my position was before but I was not a president,” said Ortonio.

The group was formerly known as DFA before it was later named as DRFA.

“I’m 72 now but still physically active,” said Ortonio, a former goalkeeper in Bacolod City.

Ortonio still works and handles one of the companies under the UDENNA Group of Companies.

He is also the president of the PNX-Udenna Insurance Brokers, Inc.

Ortonio also formerly had a group called the Davao Football Management Association, which had a publication before, First Eleven.
