Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York - In an exciting title bout for the WBA Intercontinental Super Middleweight championship, Bektemir Melikuziev of Uzbekistan improved his record to 14-1, 10KOs over Pierre Dibombe of Nantes, France who dropped to 22-1-1, 12KOs after the fight was stopped at the end of the 8th round due to significant cut to Melikuziev's eyelid caused by an accidental clash of heads earlier in the fight.

Melikuzieuv was the aggressor from the beginning to the end of the fight and appeared he would've caused a stoppage against Dibombe in the later rounds had the fight continued. The fight went to the scorecards and all three Judges scored in favor of Melikuzieuv.

The fight was one of the undercards of the Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia PPV fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
