Arca, Diez take opener in Bangkok Open

FM Christian Gian Arca of Panabo City and veteran Allan Diez of Davao City make their presence felt at the opening day of the 21st Bangkok Chess Club Open 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Arca beat Krisna Ravi of Indonesia while Diez won over Mondal Oishik of Indonesia.

IM Jan Emmanuel Garcia outplayed Sean Watharow of Australia while IM Daniel Quizon subdued Kristian Aura of Finland.

FM Mark Jay Bacojo also shadowed Shin Jingiang of Thailand while WGM Janelle Mae Frayna demolished Karthikeya Payan of Indonesia.
IM Paulo Bersamina conquered fellow countryman Franklin Loyd Andes while Ruelle Canino lambasted Konstantin Krishopov.

IM Michael Concio settled with a draw against WFM Christine Elisabeth of Indonesia while CM Ivan Travis Cu prevailed over Saha Atriniay of Indonesia.
