Terence Crawford says that “We have to set out to create a professional boxing union that guarantees the same kinds of benefits that major league baseball, basketball and soccer players in the US have. and a brand behind them came together, we could make a difference," said Crawford.

“We have different races, different ages, different countries – it's people from all walks of life coming together. I think we can do it."

"Boxers don't own our fights. The promotional companies own our fights and they have the right to say what they're going to do with them and what they're not going to do with them. And they can go and sell your fights for hundreds of millions of dollars. dollars. Crawford believes boxers should be entitled to "standard benefits like 401k and pension plans, as well as group health insurance."

“There is a lot of cleaning that needs to be done in boxing so that it is where it should be. We don't have a union, but there has to be one. … If a fighter is seriously hurt or injured, he should have something to back him up so he doesn't have to find money to help pay his medical bills so I'm concerned about fighters who haven't made it that far."
