T-Mobile Center: Spence vs Crawford - Undercard OFF TV Bouts: Nelson Beats Montgomery

In a 10 round super middleweight fight WBO- NABF champion Steve Nelson (19-0,15KOs) added the WBA continental supermiddle weight title to his collection by earning a hard fought unanimous decision victory over the tough Rowdy Legend Montgomery who now drops to 10-5-1. The 2 Judges scored the fight 99-91 while the 3rd Judge scored it 100-90 all in favor of Nelson.

In a Super Bantamweight bout Jose Salas of Mexico scored a TKO victory in the 4th rd over former 2 time world title challenger Alston Palicte of the Philippines. Sales scored a knock down in the 4th round, but Palicte beat the the count. It appeared that Palicte was indecisive at to whether to continue after beating the Referee's count. It appeared the Referee asked and motioned Palicte if he wanted to continue or not. Palicte opted not to continue so the Referee halted the contest. The time was 1:30 of the 4th round. Sales improved to 13-0,10KOs while Palicte dropped to 28-6-1, 23KOs.

In six round lightweight bout Jabin Chollet kep his record a perfect 8-0, 7KOs by scoring a spectacular TKO victory over Michael Portales who now drops to 3-2-1, 1KO. The end of the fight came at 1:58 of the second round.

In a lightweight bout, local fighter from Las Vegas Demier Zamora improved his record to 12-0, 9KOs by earning a unanimous decision victory after 8 rounds over New Yorker by way of Brooklyn Nokolai Buzoli who now drops to 9-5-1, 5KOs.

In the hottest division in boxing in a 6 round welterweight bout Deshawn Prather (17-1, 2KOs) defeated Kevin Ventura (12-1, 8KOs). Both fighters had their moments in this bout. Prather scored a knockdown in the 4th against Ventura, while Ventura would rally in the 5th round to seemingly hurt Prather. It appeared that Ventura turned the tide and finished the fight strong. The decision that could have went for either fighter. The Judges saw the fight 57-56 for Prather.

In a six round super lightweight contest, California native Justin Viloria improved to a perfect 3-0, 3 KOs by stopping Pedro Barragan of Mexico who dropped to 4-1, 2KOs. The time of stoppage was 0:41 of the 4th round.
