SOUTHPAW Angelo “Axe Boy” Beltran of Valencia City will fight Ramel “The Dangerous” Antaran of Sarangani Province for the vacant MinProBA super bantamweight title on June 25 at the Barangay 19-B Gym in Bacaca, Davao City.
The 22-year-old Beltran of Alcazar Stable is still training at the Alcazar Boxing Gym in Toril. It is handled by coaches Jason Sanchez and Brix Ambray.
“Right now, we are just focused on training to achieve the victory,” said Beltran.
His opponent Antaran is a veteran with a total of 29 fights.
Beltran recently knocked out John Rey Lauza of Zamboanga del Sur in the 4th round last October 15, 2022 in Iligan City.
Beltran, however, earlier suffered his first setback by a technical decision to Ariel Antimaro of Samal Island in the 5th round last July 1 in Maramag, Bukidnon.
Beltran has seven wins with five knockouts and one loss while 26-year-old Antaran has five wins with 22 losses and two draws.
It will be a total of 10 bouts. The boxing event, dubbed as “Pasiklaban sa Barangay 19-B”, is presented by Alcazar and Amoy Promotions.
“It is brought to you by Barangay Captain Loreto Nicolas and SK Chairperson Jesila Sumatra,” said Firmo Aligato of Alcazar Promotions.
