MICHAEL “Hot ‘N Spicy” Dasmarinas knocked out Indonesian Patrick Liukhoto in the 4th round to win the vacant WBC Asian Silver featherweight title last night, May 23 at the Fueste Complex in Camarines Sur.

Dasmarinas immediately went to work by throwing punches at the start of the 1st round, but Liukhoto answered back with his left-right jabs too.

The 30-year-old Dasmarinas, who is also the reigning Philippine super bantamweight champion, continued his pummeling jabs, mostly on the body in the next two rounds.

In the 4th round, Dasmarinas landed a left followed by a barrel of punches to send Liukhoto to the canvas next to the ropes.

Liukhoto could no longer stand up and was counted out by referee Jerold Tomeldan.

Dasmarinas, who is also a former IBO World bantamweight champion, improved his record to 33 wins with 22 knockouts against 3 loses and 2 draws.

It was only the 3rd loss by Liukhoto, who had 16 wins and 2 draws.

Dasmarinas' manager is Art Moris while his trainer is former world champion Tacy Macalos.

The boxing event dubbed as “Buruntulan 2023” was promoted by Vilma Acosta of Hardstone Monis Promotions.
