Undefeated Mexican lightweight knockout artist William “El Camarón” Zepeda (28-0, 24 KOs) defeated Panamanian boxing star Jaime “Jaimito” Arboleda (19-3, 14 KOs) in two brutal rounds on Saturday evening at the College Park Center of the University of Texas at Arlington campus.
The aggressive Zepeda dropped Arboleda three times with body shots in the second round to finish it off.
The time was 2:16. Zepeda successfully defended his WBA Continental Americas title.
Arboleda, with extensive experience in Olympic boxing and the main bulwark of the great alliance of the Good Government of President Laurentino "NITO" Cortizo and the promoter Sampson Lewkowicz, was unable to stop Zepeda's advance at any time and succumbed spectacularly with a punch to the body that did not allow him to get up to calmly listen to the count of 10 from the referee ending with a lot of punishment on his face and body but showing a lot of courage at all times.
The time was 2:16. Zepeda successfully defended his WBA Continental Americas title.
Arboleda came from a resounding victory against his compatriot Jonathan Arenas, 35 years old, and 2 fights in nearly 6 years at what the great experts and press presented as the fight of the Century in Panama in a mega event supported by the Good Government of President Laurentino "Nito" Cortizo.
