Garen Diagan, Huu Toan Le Make Weight in WBA Asia Triple Header in Vietnam

HO CHI MINH, Vietnam -- Pinoy southpaw challenger Garen "Hellboy" Diagan of Alabel, Sarangani Province, and world-ranked Huu Toan Le of Vietnam made identical weight of 104 pounds ahead of their 12-round WAR for the WBA Minimumweight Title Saturday, March 25, at the cozy Saigon Sports Club in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

Diagan is guided by coaches Rod Michelle Sarguilla and Rex PeƱalosa of Cotabato. The referee will be WBA veteran third man Chalerm Prayadsab of Thailand. One of the ringside judges is renown WBA international official Silvestre Abainza of the Philippines.

In another rumble, hard-hitting Vietnamese titlist Dinh-Hoang Truong (4-0, 3 KO's) will lock horns against tough Korean challenger Dae-Hyun Baek (4-1, 3 KO's) for WBA Asia Super Middleweight Crown.

The tattoed Vietnamese warrior Dinh-Hoang Truong came in at 167.5 lbs, while the Korean stepped-in at 167 pounds. Filipino Silvestre Abainza will be the referee.

Also, Thai warrior Campee Phayon (22-5, 14 KO's) scaled-in at 139.5 lbs., while undefeated Vietnamese Ngoc-Hai Nguyen (4-0-3, 3 KO's) made 139 for their vacant WBA Asia South Super Lightweight Clash.

Furtheremore, 18-year-old Pinoy Arvin Jhon Paciones (3-0, 2 KO's) recorded 109 pounds, while the more-experienced Sarawut Jiamthong (7-3, 7 KO's) of Thailand made 108 lbs for their non-title light flyweight fight. Arvin is guided by his dad/coach Dodong Paciones.

Eight more bouts complete the entertaining evening of boxing.
