Tampa, FL (January 26, 2023) – Lightweight Willian “Babyface” Silva sustained a torn muscle in his left arm during a recent training session, forcing him to withdraw from two scheduled fights.
Silva, 29-4 (17 KO’s), was scheduled to fight Saturday evening in Lowell, MA followed by a showdown with highly regarded Idalberto Umara February 25 in Orlando, FL.
“This is a huge disappointment for Willian because he was extremely sharp in the gym and had two fights scheduled” said Silva’s promoter
Jody Caliguire of Fire Fist Boxing Promotions. “Unfortunately, he suffered an injury that will keep him out of action for a bit. Once he’s able to resume training, we’ll work on finding him the best opportunities at 135 pounds.”
