Llavanes, Mayor vie top honor in Bicol Online Grandprix Chess Tournament

MANILA---National Master Ronald Llavanes and Dr. Jenny Mayor along with Jeffrey Vegas, Jesurie Calabia, Noel Leron and National Master Carlo Lorena will vie for top honors in the Grandfinals of the 2021-2022 Bicol Online Grandprix Chess Tournament slated June 30 to July 1 virtually held at Lichess Platform.

“It’s going to be exciting, that’s for sure,” said Mayor, a seven-time Philippine executive Grand-Prix champion, is a dentist by profession.

Also joining are National Master Glennen Artuz, Eng'r. Roncar Raffy Tivar, Arch. Marvid Zuniega, Mr. Tino Hibon Laurio, Arch. Marvid Zuniega, Mr. Tino Hibon Laurio, Mr. Sohaile Amatonding, Jr., IM Angelo Young, Mr. Ephraim Hechanova, Mr. Carl Daluz, Mr. Leo Mirana, Fide Master/Eng'r. Jose Efren Bagamasbad, Arch. Joeven Polsotin, Mr. Emir Gamis, Mr. Rene del Castillo and Mr. Eugene Briones.

NM llavanes, one of the top players of Philippine Airforce chess team was proclaimed the overall topnotcher after the gruelling 60th and last leg of the elimination round last June 23, 2022. Dentist Mayor end up 2nd place.-Marlon Bernardino-
