In an extraordinary night of boxing in Panamá City, in the main fight of the night, undefeated Panamanian prospect Rafael Pedroza defeated Argentinian Andres Sosa by unanimous decision in ten exciting rounds and conquered the World Boxing Council Latin silver super bantamweight title at the Center of Vasco Núñez de Balboa Conventions of the Hotel El Panamá, in Panama City in a mega boxing event organized by Sampson Boxing and Best Box televised live through TyC Sports (Argentina), TyC Sports Play (Argentina) and TV Max (Panama).

Sosa (13-1, 8 KOs) showed all his boxing and heart but was unable to defeat the talented striker Pedroza (13-0, 11 KOs), No. 9 in the World Boxing Association Super Bantamweight ranking, who took advantage of his greatest size and scope to be the winner on the judges' cards: Harmodio Cedeño 97-93, Jesús Alemán 98-92 and Abdiel Barragán 97-93.

Thousands of Panamanians gathered from the first Olympic Boxing matches and were supporting their compatriots Alexander Duran, Edgar Valencia, Rafael Pedroza and Ronal Batista who managed to win all the fights between Panamanians and Foreigners confirming that the vision of the Uruguayan promoter Sampson Lewkowicz in "Sembrando Champions ¨ begins to show itself to the world as a factory of talented boxers in Panama.

Panamanian Edgar Valencia managed to beat Mexican Luis Robles Pachecho in a surprise split decision when two of the three judges saw Valencia win 67-65 and 67-64, while one gave 67-64.
