Indonesian boxer who falls into a coma dies

The Malang boxer, whose real name is Heru Purwanto, had slipped into a coma after losing by knockout and passing out in the seventh round to James Mokoginta in the fight at the Hollywings Club, Jakarta on Sunday 27 February.
Hero Tito passed away on March 3 due to injuries he sustained from the fight. Tito never regained consciousness. He was only 35 years old.
Tito was Indonesian super lightweight champion with a professional record of 29-17-2 with 11 KOs.
The Hero vs. James Mokoginta bout went to 10 rounds at lightweight (61.2 kg) to compete for the vacant Indonesian Boxing Association (ATI) national title.
Tito was confined to Mitra Keluarga Hospital, Kelapa Gading in Jakarta after the fight at the Holywings Sport Show on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
