The Government of Mexico City has reported that next May 22 in the legendary Plaza de la Constitucion in the historic Zocalo, a historic sporting event will be held with a massive boxing class that hopes to achieve the largest number of participants to make a Guinness record.

For this date, everyone who wants to participate in the super boxing class is invited, including boys, girls, young people, adults and older adults.

In order to set a new world record, the Zócalo plate will become a gymnasium track to receive all those interested in learning something about boxing. Each instructor will coordinate the entire public that meets in the Plaza de la Constitución.

It is expected that the thousands of participants will be able to share an unforgettable day of boxing and learning with the different trainers of the event.

The initiative is an alliance of the Government of Mexico City represented by its Governor Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and the president of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaimán.

That same afternoon there will be many legends of Mexican boxing such as: The members of the Hall of Fame, the trainer Nacho Beristain, the national idol Julio César Chávez González and the first Mexican quadruple world champion, Erik El Terrible Morales, Daniel Zaragoza, ¨Chiquita¨ Gonzalez and Carlos Zarate among other champions.

There is a strong possibility that the world sports star, Saúl Canelo Álvarez, will attend this great event.

In 2017 the city of Moscow, Russia held an extraordinary boxing class achieving a Guinness record with nearly three thousand participants.
