Some sources have reported that COVID-19 could be affecting the camp of the WBC world champion Tyson Fury who is training for the trilogy rematch against former world champion Deontay Wilder scheduled for July 24 in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
The latest information indicates that about 10 people from the camp including Fury have tested positive.
Fury is believed to have received one dose of the Covid vaccine but not the required second dose.
According to different shared reports, the date of the fight could possibly be changed to the beginning of September and announcements about the health status of Fury and his surroundings are expected soon to know about the final decision.
Fury and Wilder met in 2018 which ended in a highly controversial split decision draw that included two knockdowns suffered by Fury. Then in February 2020 Fury beat Wilder by knockout.
Major sources have commented that an official decision has yet to be made, but the fight would almost certainly be postponed.
