Landicho to face Imperial in a chess for a cause chess match

Israel Landicho of Cavite Spartans will face archrival Genghis Imperial of Manila Indios Bravos in a head-to-head duel in Lichess arena on Friday, April 7, 2021 to coincide the celebration of Araw ng Kagitingan.

“It will be a very interesting match against Genghis Imperial,” said the Bacoor City, Cavite native Landicho, overall eight placer in the recent Luzon Leg of the Philippine Sports Commission-National Chess Federation of the Philippines selection tournament.

“I will do my very best,” said the Sta. Mesa, Manila resident Imperial.

The Bayanihan Chess Club Match Up Series Chess For a Cause is being held in cooperation with Bethesda, Maryland, US based frontliner Dr. Joe Balinas, Engr. Antonio "Uncle Paps" Balinas, Sir Theo Panga, JC Marikina, Retired Capt. Jun Isaac, Mr. Kim Zafra, USN Retired Manong Roj, Caloocan City chess team Owner Atty.
