The renowned Mexican Referee José Guadalupe García has presented an extraordinary 355-page book entitled "Sports Facts and Realities of a Boxing Referee" recounting his experiences in the ring as well as from his training and experiences throughout his professional career including the fights of world championship between 1990 and 2020.

"It is time to share my story, in a good moment of health and activity in the ring. It is a great life story and I want to leave a legacy with my experiences both positive and adverse in travel and during each presentation in the ring," Garcia said

"Boxing has always been part of my life, it is a great responsibility to be on top of a ring and more in world-class fights but I always have in my mind the words that Don José told me 'Don Lupe, you are going to reach very high. It is going to be around the world because I have seen its qualities and something you should keep in mind is that it is always better to stop a blow before and not a blow after '.

According to Garcia, his love for boxing began when in the plaza of his hometown, Tarimoro, Guanajuato was an assistant in a fight where his father participated and with a combination of blows he knocked down his rival.

The book is more than a tribute to boxing and in its pages it recounts their experiences and experiences for the new generations of ring officers, exhorting them about the great responsibility that referees have who take care of the integrity of boxers throughout each fight.

Don José Sulaimán taught me that: "You always have to stop a fight by a blow before and not after, because if you don't do it like that, the health of the boxer who has received a lot of punishment is at high risk."

In the book he presents great accounts of his performances in the ring in combats in Thailand, South Korea, Japan, England, France, United States, Spain, Germany, Canada, Russia, South Africa, Panama, Finland, Kazakhstan, Ecuador,

Garcia was the third man in bouts of: Julio Cesar Chavez, Manny Pacquiao, Vitali Klitschko, Marco Antonio Barrera, Jorge Paez, Azumah Nelson, Yuri Arbachakov, Terry Norris, Lennox Lewis, Ricardo Lopez, Wayne McCullough, Javier Castillejo, Jorge Arce, Hosumi Hazegawa, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, Oleg Maskaev, Israel Marquez, Rafael Marquez, Mia St John, Jackie Nava, Ana Maria Torres, Mariana Juarez, Canelo Alvarez, Toshiaki Nishioka, Abner Mares, Badou Jack, Dmitry Kudryashov, Regis Prograis and Juan Francisco Estrada among others.
