Walter Matthysse Jr. Makes Weight For Pro Debut in Córdoba, Argentina

The weigh-in ceremony for tomorrow’s evening of boxing at La Calera Chess Club in Córdoba, Argentina, unfolded smoothly at the magnificent Mario Alberto Kempes World Cup Stadium.

Debutant Chubut middleweight fighter Walter Matthysse Jr., a former amateur champion from the famed Matthysse family of world-class Argentinian boxers, nailed the scale at 72.5 kilos; while his more-experienced Buenos Aires opponent Dante Cano registered 73.1 Kgs. The men will battle at a distance of 4 rounds.

In the man event, unbeaten Cordoba-based Matías Romero, weighed-in at 58.7 kgs, as Adelian Javier Clavero made 58.9 kilos for the South American Super Featherweight belt at a distance of 12 rounds.
