Teshigawara.

As widely expected by many fans in Japan, tough, experienced OPBF super bantamweight champion 勅使河原弘晶 Hiroaki Teshigawara (22-2-2, 15 KO’s) made a successful 4th defense of his regional oriental belt by stopping in 6 chapters Japanese compatriot 河村真吾 Shingo Kawamura (16-6-4, 8 KO’s) today, Thursday October 8, in the Land of the Rising Sun.

From the sound of the first bell, the more-accomplished, world-ranked WBC # 7 Teshigawara landed damaging attacks over the game and brave Kawamura who was unable to counter the heavy artillery coming at him.

Up to the final moment, Teshigawara dominated all the rounds, exerting his superior boxing skills and firepower over the strong but less-talented challenger.

The battle's fateful end unfolded at the 1 minute 40 second mark in lap six when experienced third man Yuji Fukuchi halted all actions for a TKO result in favor of the 30-year-old Teshigawara, a warrior who would do anything to get inside the square ring to challenge Mexican newly crowned WBC super bantam king Luis "Pantera" Neri.

The 25-year-old Luis Nery (31-0, 24 KO's) is so well known in Japan after his fast and thrilling demolition work in destroying and retiring local Japanese hero Shinsuke Yamanaka in 2017 in Kyoto and again in 2018 in Tokyo.

Surely the Nery vs Teshigawara battle would be a war more-than-exciting in Japan, a historic great land of boxing, the cradle of awesome bantamweight and super bantamweight fighters, such as Hall-of-Famer Fighting Harada, Hozumi Hasegawa, and the sizzling reigning Bantamweight king Naoya Inoue.

Today’s show in Tokyo was a production of Dangan Aoki Promotions live on Fuji TV.
