Rosendo Alvarez.

The World Boxing Council has decided to grant its “WBC Humanitarian of the Year Award” to two-time world champion Rosendo Álvarez for his determined support to the community and for extending his helping hand to former champion Ricardo Mayorga, who has been struggling with substance abuse. ☀️

Rosendo “El Búfalo” Alvarez has dedicated years of his life in promoting boxing, creating opportunities for young boxers of low income.☀️

In addition, Rosendo delivers inspirational speeches in rehabilitation centers around his beloved country, Nicaragua. ✅

The former champ has taken the example of his own struggles in life to the young in remote communities and has shared his hard-earned profits with the needed and the poor.☀️

God bless. 🙏🏼 Good initiative by the WBC. 👍

Congratulations to this kalbo man with such a big heart Rosendo Álvarez.

His life is an inspiration to all of us in boxing. 🙏🏼
