THE 5th Baby Uno Online Chess Challenge dubbed as P/Capt. Ceferino 'Jun' Isaac (Ret.) Stay At Home Chess Cup Online Tournament gets underway on Sunday, July 12, 2020, 1pm at the Lichess.org.
P/Capt. Ceferino 'Jun' Isaac (Ret.) said chessers from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao as well in abroad will see action in the five minutes plus three seconds increment time control format.
"This is the fifth edition of Baby Uno Online Chess Challenge, and I'am very happy supporting this event," said P/Capt. Ceferino 'Jun' Isaac (Ret.).
Aside from cash prize, the champion will bring home one sack of rice (25 kilos, Super Denorado) in the event organized by Bayanihan Chess Club and supported by Seaman Chief Engineer Julio Trunio Jr., PECA president Dr. Fred Paez, Jubail Kingdom of Saudi Arabia based Jimmy Reyes, Ron Demain, Mc Daniel Ebao, engr. Ernie Faeldonia, former NCFP director Ed Madrid, sportsman Kim Zafra, Chief PSSUPT. Jaime Osit Santos, Oriental Press Bahrain Internal Audit Manager Kriz "Dodoy" Villareal, Dr. Jenny Mayor, Engr. Mark Anthony Mallari Yabut and Pretty Zada Skincare Products.
The past winners of Baby Uno Online Chess Challenge are GM Joey Antonio (1st Baby Uno), FM David Elorta (2nd Baby Uno), IM Ronald Dableo (3rd Baby Uno) and GM Joey Antonio (4th Baby Uno dubbed as Seaman Chief Engineer Julio Trunio Jr. Chess Cup).
