Mexican WBC 112-pound World Champion Julio César "El Rey" Martínez made a successful first defense of his flyweight crown by scoring a unanimous decision win over tough British challenger Jay Harris (17-1, 9 KO's) in the exciting Matchroom Boxing show staged Saturday night at The Ford Center of The Star, Frisco, Texas, USA.
The shorter Martinez (16-1, 12 KO's) dominated most of the rounds with powerful punches, rocking Harris to the canvas in the 10th chapter with an accurate left hook. 🥊
That allowed "El Rey" Martinez to claim victory over the Briton by scores of 118-109, 116-111 and 115-112.
