Boracay Island, Philippines – LeBron James posted his 12th triple-double of the season to propel the LA Lakers past the Denver Nuggets 120-116 on Wednesday night (Thursday morning, Philippine time) at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
The 4-time league MVP finished with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists. He is now tied with Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks for most triple-doubles this season.
Anthony Davis stuffed the stats sheet with a game-high 33 markers, 10 boards, 2 dimes, 2 steals, and 2 blocks for the Lakers, who improved to 41 wins and 12 losses to fortify their hold as the top team on the Western Conference team standings.
Jamal Murray had 32 points, 3 rebounds, and 10 assists for Denver. Nikola Jokic added 22 markers, 11 boards, 6 dimes, 3 steals, and 1 block for the Nuggets, who dropped to a 38-17 win-loss card, but kept their hold of the 2nd spot on the Western Conference team standings.
The Nuggets will next face the Thunder in Oklahoma City on Friday night, February 21, 2020 (Saturday morning, February 22, 2020, Philippine time), after the All-Star break.
Meanwhile, the Lakers will host the Memphis Grizzlies on the same night.
