Rene Santiago (C) wins.

Boricua light flyweight fighter René "El Chulo" Santiago got crowned as the new WBO Latino 108 pound Champion as he decisioned compatriot Israel "El Heredero" Vázquez tonight at the Rubén Zayas Montañez Coliseum in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico.

The 27-year-old Santiago (8-2, 6 KO's) of Humacao, Puerto Rico, dominated Vázquez (10-4-2, 7 KO's) from start to finish, winning the unanimous decision with wide scores of 99-90, 99-90 (twice) and 97-92. 🥊

Santiago attacks Vázquez as referee Roberto Ramirez Jr., keeps an eye on the action.

Santiago -- who sent Vázquez to the blue canvas in the second frame -- used his more skilled fighting movements and effective counterattacks to impose himself over the son of Puerto Rican former 3-time world champion Wilfredo Vázquez.⭐️

In the night's co-feature, 25-year-old featherweight Pedro "Pedrito" Márquez (12-1, 8 KO'ss) of San Juan, Puerto Rico, stopped the tough, more-experienced Juan Carlos Peña (30-2, 22 KO's) of the Dominican Republic to capture the WBO NABO 126 lbs., strap via 3rd round TKO.

Marquez rocked down Peña, 32, in the opening stanza, then continued his rough dominance till the uneven battle was stopped at the 2:32 mark in round 3.

The exciting 7-bout card, billed as "A Puño Limpio," was a successful production of PR Best Boxing Promotions in association with Spartan Boxing. 🔥🔥
