
Hosokawa retains OPBF middleweight title

ORTHODOX Shinobu Charlie Hosokawa of Japan scored a unanimous decision over Kazuto Takesako of Osaka, Japan to retain his Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation middleweight title last Jan. 18 at Korakuen Hall in Japan.
It was the 12th win against the fifth loss and one draw by Hosokawa.
Hosokawa had three victories in 2019 including a fight with Koki Tyson of Japan via TKO in the 8th round to win the vacant OPBF middleweight title last Oct. 11.
Meanwhile, Takeshi Inoue of Japan retired Cheng Su of China in the 2nd round to retain WBO Asia Pacific super welterweight title.
The boxing promoter was Tatsuya Saida of World Sports Promotions.
