DAVAO CITY --- Former WBA Super World bantamweight champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire of Bohol was appointed as the mandatory contender by the World Boxing Council of WBC bantamweight champion Nordine Oubaali of France.
The free negotiations period has begun for the mandatory title defense and if no agreement is reached, a purse offer will be conducted on Jan. 3 in Mexico City.
