Cebu City -- The Philippines' hottest prospect AJ 'Bazooka' Banal, the WBO Asia-Pacific Youth superfly champ, is set to tangle with undefeated WBC Latino super flyweight titleholder Caril 'El Raton' Herrera in a still unspecified place and date.

ALA Gym president Michael Aldeguer has confirmed that the fight contract between Banal and Herrera has been signed and the fight will most likely happen sometime in April, 2008.

Banal (16-0-1, 13KOs), along with stablemate Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista, was earlier scheduled to fight on March 2 under the Pe?alosa-Vorapin title fight at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City but the fight was put on hold due to some promotional problems.

The 27-year-old Herrera, who hails from Monevideo in Uruguay, has an unblemished record of 21 straight wins with 13 knockouts. He captured the WBC Latino superfly title on Feb. 23, 2006 via a 6th round KO against Sergio Victor Caruso and has defended it four times since. Herrera is currently rated No. 2 by WBC, No. 8 by WBA and No. 12 by IBF in his division.

The Banal-Herrera card dubbed as 'The Time Has Come' will be Banal's coming out party in the big league by fighting the top fighters in the super flyweight division.
