MAASIN, Southern Leyte -- Gladiators successfully made weight ahead of their battles set to unfold Tuesday, August 13, at the Maasin Sports Complex here in Southern Leyte. 👍👍
Veteran globe-trotting warrior Adones Aguelo (31-20-2, 21 KO's) of Cebu's Brix Flores Gym made 137 pounds while 26-year-old fearless gladiator Jimmy Borbon (7-7-4, 4 KO's) of Capiz, Western Visayas, scaled-in at 140 lbs., for their 10-rounder non-title super lightweight saga.
In the co-feature, Rufino Mante (9-20-2, 4 KO's) of Ubay, Bohol, stopped the needle at 145 lbs for his combat against former ALA fighter Boyce Sultan (9-12-1, 5 KO's). Sultan, 25, scaled-in one pound lighter at 144, and the two welterweight fighters are ready to rumble. 🥊

Also, 21-year-old Leyte?o rookie Gerald De Leon (1-0, 0 KO's) from Hindang recorded 127 pounds ahead of his second pro fight against boxing debutant Algem Ampad of Cebu. Ampad weighed-in four pounds heavier at 131 lbs. Their hot 4-chapter battle is in the super featherweight division.

Moreover, Cebuano super welterweight "Iron Man" Ryan Maano (3-9-2, 1 KO) got 154 lbs while coming-back warrior Edyson Serrano (7-5-1, 4 KO's) of Negros Occidental came-in at 156 pounds. 👊👊 This tough war might not make the distance. Who will emerge victorious?
Fights are supervised by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Cebu OIC Arlene Olondriz. The third man in the ring will be experienced referee Romar Kristoffer Embodo.
In attendance during the weight-in ceremony and posing with the boxers was Hon. Councillor Zaldy Uliton, organizer of the event.
The entertaining boxing show billed as "Battle of the Ring Gladiators" set for Tuesday, August 13, at the Maasin Sports Complex is a production of Happen Stance, Flores Promotions and the Naris Singwancha Foundation in association with VSG Promotions Australia, the Wallar Law Firm and the government of the City of Maasin, Southern Leyte.
Tuesday Fights start at 7 PM. All aboard.
