Popular award-winning promoter Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde's aims at thrilling fans once again with Night of Champions XVIII, the exciting 14-fight pro boxing show set fire up the stage this Saturday, August 3, at the Elorde Sports Complex in Sucat, Para?aque, Metro Manila.

In the Philippines vs Japan main event, Filipino 122-pounder Crison "Cowboy" Omayao (24-19-5, 8 KO's) of Bukidnon battles a hot 10-rounder against tough samurai warrior Daisuke Sugita (杉田大祐) of Tokyo, Japan, for the vacant WBA ASIA SOUTH Super Bantamweight belt and a bay in the 122-pound world rankings; and who will win?

Will the more experienced 26-year-old Filipino successfully counter-attack the furious offensive of the bigger Daisuke Sugita (4-1, 3 KO's), bombing the Japanese hard down to the canvas?

Or will it be the visiting Nippon boxer the one to brutalize the Pinoy, rocking him mercilessly? You have to be there to witness.

In the co-feature, Zamboangue?o slugger Alvin Medura (8-4, 7 KO's) gets the dangerous mission to engage in combat the more accomplished Japanese Mugicha Nakagawa (24-6-2, 14 ko'S) of Tokyo for the vacant WBC Asia Continental Super Bantam title, a difficult ten-chapter mission for both warriors. More rough for the Pinoy fighter who comes from back to back loses in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Nakagawa.

This is indeed the golden chance for Glenn Medura to get back with flying colors into the winning circle. Will he make it? Not an easy.

The confident 30-year-old Nakagawa (武田勇太) sees himself flying in the wings of victory. This is his third battle in Pinoyland. His prior combats in the Philippines have been triumphs for the Japanese. Will he also win this one?

No doubt that Elorde has given his boxer a very tough mission, making fans wonder if Medura will pull it off.
