Roldan Aldea Scores Crushing KO Win in Russia

In thrilling fashion, Filipino lightweight Roldan "Dan" Aldea (14-7-1, 8 KO's) of the Elorde Gym scored the most important of win of his boxing career by punishing and stopping cold in eight rounds unbeaten local fighter Mikhail Alexeev (12-1, 4 KO's) Saturday night, July 13, in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

The taller 25-year-old Aldea from Negros Occidental made terrific use of his speed, reach and superior fighting skills to land repeatedly with right hooks and left straights on the tough Russian, who was forced to absorb a relentless rain of blows prescribed by the Pinoy throughout the non-title combat, finally succumbing seconds before the end of the rumble.

The rough end unfolded when a full-power left uppercut sent by Roldan Aldea caught the incoming Alexeev full force on his jaw completely rocking the Russian to the core, making him lose signal landing hard face first on the blue canvas of Ekaterinburg, a dramatic shocking moment that completely silenced the crowd.

The performance was a fantastic triumph for lion heart Roldan "Dan" Aldea, his first win overseas; and the disciplined southpaw is willing to take on for more challenging missions.
