Distinguished ring official Bruce McTavish, a tree-time winner of the prestigious WBC World's Referee of the Year Award, is set to conduct an exciting and highly informative seminar for all Filipino judges, referees and ring officials this coming Sunday. July 7, in the Queen City of the South, Cebu.

The free seminar welcomes all Filipino ring officials and members of the Filipino boxing family. It will be delivered in a one-day session starting at 10 am at IPI Auditorium (on John Paul II Avenue, near San Carlos Seminary College), and is set to cover the most important aspects to take into account for a correct and successful work in scoring and refereeing pro boxing fights.

In addition to enjoying McTavish's seminar, all ring officials in attendance will be treated to a free lunch.

Later on, all participants are more than welcome to take part in the lively discussion for ring officials with hot topics to talk about in the afternoon session.

Boxing videos to evaluate and score, boxing documentaries on fouls and the extreme dangers of rabbit punches, a video on "things that a referee should never do," as well as a refreshing of all boxing rules will take place. Also, there will be challenging rounds to score during this seminar's morning session.

Bruce McTavish, who recently became a Filipino citizen, will be in Cebu accompanied by his wife madame Carmen McTavish. He plans to share with fellow ring officials some of his amazing experiences in 50 years on top of the ring.

McTavish will not only to conduct Sunday's seminar, but also to work as a guest GAB judge in this Saturday's Omega Promotions boxing show taking place at Panphil B. Frasco Memorial Sports Complex in Liloan, Cebu.

The Referees and Judges Seminar has been organized by the Professional Boxing Official of Central Visayas (PBO-CV) and is open to all ring officials interested in improving their skills, including timekeepers supervisors, ring announcers and inspectors.

The seminar is also open to all brothers and sisters in the Filipino boxing family. Coaches, boxers, matchmakers, promoters, cornermen, cutmen and members of the media are so much welcome to participate.
