PHILBOXING WRITER IS REELECTED MAASIN CITY VICE MAYOR UNOPPOSED

This Philboxing.com writer and contributor is reelected Maasin City Vice Mayor for his fifth term unopposed. Meanwhile his PDP-Laban/Hugpong ng Pagbabago partymate incumbent City Mayor Nikko Mercado was also reelected for his second term by a landslide victory over former Southern Leyte Governor Rosette Lerias.

Yours truly served as Vice Mayor from 1998-2007 then on 2016 up to present, City Mayor from 2007-2016 and Councilor from 1992-1998.

Sports and Youth Development is a priority program for the City in my 27 years of undefeated public service.

We have hosted the National Boxing Championships, Visayas Boxing Championships, Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association meet thrice, Pinoy Pride 44, Batang Pinoy Visayas, and several regional boxing tournaments and regional sports competitions.

For Youth Development we have hosted the National Scouts Venture Camp, the National Scouts Rover Moot, the One Visayas Scouts Jamboree and the Eastern Visayas Regional Scouts Jamboree and several regional scouting activities and trainings.

This writer also started contributing boxing and sports articles to Philboxing since September 2007.

We have produced national gold medalists in the Palarong Pambansa, Batang Pinoy and boxing championships. Under our tutelage, we have contributed to the development of the boxing careers of Maasin boxers Prince Albert Pagara, Jason Pagara, Adones Aguelo and Alex Aroy.
