You had to be there to believe it, but Crawford-Kahn was turning out to be competitive fight. In the first round it appeared the fight was a mismatch after Crawford (35-0, 26KOs) caught Kahn (33-5, 20KOs)with an off balance shot and knocked him down. It looked like the fight was gonna end before it got started.

But much to the surprise of those in attendance, Kahn rallied. He used good movement and boxing skills (even though Crawford was closing the gap) Kahn made it competitive. It appeared Kahn was definitely slowing down by the 5th round. Then out of know where, Crawford hit Kahn with what appeared to be an accidental shot below the beltline and Kahn turned away in pain.

Realizing this and it was confirmed to the audience by video replay, it appeared the Referee had given Kahn time to (up to 5 minutes, as per boxing unified rules) to recover.

Inexplicably Kahn seemed to be having a discussion with the ringside physician and then Kahn quits. The crowd expressed their displeasure by booing.
