BARBOSA KNOCKS OUT ALVARADO IN 3RD ROUND

Undefeated NABF junior welterweight champion Arnold Barbosa Jr of Los Angeles knocked out former world champion Mike Alvarado of Denver, Colorado in the 3rd round of their 10 round scheduled fight on the undercard of Lomachencko-Crolla WBA/WBO world lightweight championship at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles Friday night (Saturday in Manila).
Barbosa (21-0-0, 8KOs) was exceptional in dismantling Alvarado (40-5-0, 28KOs) who was a shell of his former self.
