OAKLAND -- Dub Nation held its collective breath yesterday when superstar guard Steph Curry, who has had a history of ankle injuries, limped off the court at the Smoothie King Center where the Golden State Warriors beat the New Orleans Pelicans yesterday.

Well, Warriors fans around the world can now heave a giant sigh of relief.

Head coach Steve Kerr told The San Francisco Chronicle that Curry is progressing real "good" with his rehabilitation. He will be ready when the Warriors start the back-to-back defense of their NBA title this weekend against either the Los Angeles Clippers or the San Antonio Spurs.

The 31-year old Curry is averaging 27.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per in 69 games this season. He is a former two-time NBA MVP (2015, 2016) and a six-time All-Star.

The two-time defending champion Warriors are gunning for a rare 3-peat, the first in the NBA since Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal of the Los Angeles Lakers pulled the trick from 2000 to 2002.
