Typically, December 31st is a day of rest, to mingle around with friends and relatives and set of some fireworks to greet the coming year. That is true in most parts of the world.
But for the Filipino legendary boxer and a sure Hall of Fame inductee on the first ballot, Manny Pacquiao, New Year?s Eve 2018 is just another day at the office.
Bright and early today with the temperature dipping to under 50F, Pacquiao was at the Griffith Park in Hollywood ready to lead a bunch of his running mates.
And lead he did.
It was a ?great last run for 2018? stated Mandirigma Angeles, Pacquiao?s perennial running mate.
When Pacquiao runs, even Los Angeles Finest can?t help but admire the guy and they come to have photos taken with him as well. And so does hundreds of fans many deliberately coming to the Park just to see Pacquiao.

After the long grueling run he returned home to rest and cavorts with friends and well wishers and then was back at the Wildcard Gym at 2:00 PM to continue his routine for the day.
There was no sparring today, a training regimen that is done when he does not run the hills of Hollywood. Instead, there was a very long mitt session with consultant coach Freddie Roach to brush up details towards the development of the final fight plans A, B and C.
Head Coach Buboy Fernandez stood by the apron keenly observing the mitt session and occasionally voices a suggestion or two seemingly to reinforced what Roach is doing with Pacquiao.
Immediately after the mitt session Pacquiao went on to do the double end bag and the speed bag then some shadow boxing and tapered off with Nonoy Neri helping him with his stretching and abdominal crunch.
Then he went back to the dressing room to change and got set to go back home to greet the New Year as it comes around at midnight.
But, early tomorrow, the training commences until it starts to taper down a week before the fight and then the long trek to Vegas on a caravan begins.
