
Chess Circle Tatlohan 2000 and below Rapid Chess Championships gets underway

THE much awaited Chess Circle Tatlohan 2000 and below Rapid Chess Championships gets underway on September 23, 2018, Sunday at the 3rd floor, Alphaland Southgate Mall, Edsa Corner Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City.
The participants of the tournament are set to compete in a 7 round Swiss-System format, Rate of Play 20 minutes + 3 secs. delay and the event is expected to be joined by Executives & Young Professionals who loved the sport of chess is sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP), organized by Chess Circle and En Passant Chess Association in cooperation of Old Manila Gallery and SMDC-Samways headed by Sales Director Samivin de los Santos of SMDC and Alphaland Corporation to be officiated by Chess Arbiter Union of the Philippines.
Chess Circle President Leonardo "Nards" Jimenez said required average rating for the rapid team event must be 2000 based on August 1, 2018 NCFP Rating list while underated players will be given a 1800 provisional rating.
The winning team is set to receive P23,000 and a trophy while the next two winners will pocket P14,000 and P9,000 plus trophies, respectively.
4th to 5th placers will get P6,000 and P3,000 while 6th to 8th place awaits P2,000 each.
Top High School Team will also take home P1,500 plus trophy while Top College, Top Company and Top Executive didn?t go home empty-handed with P2,000 each.
?All players are required to bring Valid ID.The tournament director reserves the right to deny entry to any team without any reason,? according to the organizing committee.
