2nd Dr. Marlonsky Youth Chess Cup Tournament gets underway in Davao City

THE 2nd Dr. Marlonsky Youth Chess Cup Tournament gets underway on October 7, 2018 at Dr. Marlonsky Chess Center, Catalya Compound, Prk 5A, in front of Orchard Lane Homes (about minute walk from Buda National Highway); Km 20, Bgy. Los Amigos, Tugbok District in Davao City.

Organizer Dr. Marlon Lepiten Sayson Jr. said a cash prize of P3,000 await the champion in the 19 years old and below and the 11 years-old and below while the next two placers will pocket P2,000 and P1,000, respectively. 4th to 8th placers will receive P300 as well for the category winners for the top female, top Under 14 and top under 8.

Tournament registration fee is P200.

Backed up by Mindanao Chessmastes and Knights of the Square Table, the two division youth chess tournament (19 years old and below, 11 years old and below) is open to all players ages 19 years old and below with a time control format of 15 minutes plus three seconds increment in the National Chess Federation of the Philippines sanctioned tournament and supervised by NA Cecilio "Ely"Acas, FNA Joseph "Jojo" Palermo and NA Alfred Moulic.
