?MAGIC? MIKE PLANIA IN POLOMOLOK MAY 19

Mike Plania will attempt to return to return to the win column when he squares off against John Rey Lauza in a non-title bout on May 19. Plania, nicknamed ?Magic? weighed in at 118 lbs while Lauza was at 120lbs during the official weigh-in held Friday.

They will fight at the Polomolok Gym in Polomolok, South Cotabato. Plania (14-1,7KO?s) suffered his first career loss last March in the U.S. against former WBA world bantamweight champ Juan Carlos Payano of the Dominican Republic by unanimous decision. That fight was for the vacant WBO Intercontinental bantamweight title.

Lauza (13-17-4,6KO?s) lost in previous attempts to win regional PABA and WBC ABCO titles.

This fight card billed as the ?Magic Show? will also feature former WBA World interim light flyweight champion Randy Petalcorin and Jake Bornea. Petalcorin (112lbs) will face Jade Yagahon, also in a non-title contest while Bornea (118lbs) will fight Jun Eraham (121lbs).

Sanman Promotions CEO Jim Claude Manangquil informed philboxing of the weights.

Also set to see action are Stephen Bontuyab (125lbs) vs Yoben Lementillo (130lbs)- 6rds, Presco Carcosia (124lbs) vs Jason Trasmonte (125lbs)- 4rds, Wendell Plania (115lbs) vs Junrex Saldivia (116lbs)- 4rds and Judy Flores (112lbs) vs Jan Jan Santos (111lbs) ? 4 rounds.
