CEBU CITY -- Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao has jogged 10 kilometers in 40 minutes this morning highlighted by a killer 3-kilometer non-stop uphill climb at the pictursque Alta Vista Golf Course and Subdivision in the hills of Pardo, this city. Pacquiao is now in the homestretch of his Cebu training camp in preparation for his upcoming rematch with Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Oct. 6.

"It's a good run," Roach said after closely watching his ward throughout the ordeal adding that "he's pretty close to his form when he was training with his 3rd fight with Morales at this point."

Pacquiao ran with sparring partners David Rodela and Raymundo Beltran and younger brother Bobby and marathoner Adonis Singson who was specially called for the ocassion so that Pacquiao will have company all throughout the run. The trio of Rodela, Beltran and Bobby Pacquiao dropped off at the 5-kilometer mark.

Team Pacquiao trailed the runners aboard a Toyota van while Pacquiao's confidant Rex 'Wakee' Salud, whose RWS Gym has been thrust into the limelight while Pacquiao trains in Cebu, trailed the runners aboard his white Toyota SUV.

"He's pretty good," Singson, who is a 40-kilometer marathoner, said on Pacquiao.

"Wala pa yan (It's nothing)," Bobby quipped, adding that his older brother "had ran tougher and longer routes."

Pacquiao will resume training this afternoon at the RWS Gym in Labangon as Team Pacquiao is set to leave for Manila on Friday and Los Angeles on Saturday.
