MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA, LAS VEGAS -- As usual Terrence Crawford took his time to feel out his opponent Viktor Postol for the first three rounds in his Pay Per View debut. Some in the audience even thought that Postol would present a challenge possibly give Crawford his first defeat because Postol used his reach, height, and good movement to stalk Crawford the first three rounds.
Crawford began to find his spots and close the gap by the 4th round. In the 5th round he was credited with two knockdowns against Postol, even though they were really off balance shots that caused Postol to touch the canvas. Crawford used his ring intelligence, speed, power, and a little ?showboating? to cruise to a well deserved unanimous decision victory against Postol.
Postol tries to corner the slippery Terence Crawford.
Postol drops to 28-1, 12KOs. Crawford now stands as the ?man? to beat in the 140lbs division. He improves his record to 29-0, 20 KOs and now holds the WBC, Ring Magazine title, as well as the WBO 140lb titles.
At the post fight press conference Crawford was open to any challenge from any of his peers when asked who he wished to fight in his next bout. He is rumored to be in the running to fight Manny Pacquiao, but this writer doesn?t think that fight will happen.
Valdez clips Rueda.
