NBA PLAYOFFS -- ​Curry-less Warriors up 2-0 versus Rockets

OAKLAND ​? Even without their best player, Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors​ had more than enough firepower to handle the Houston Rockets,115-106, and take a 2-0 lead in their first-round Western Conference series.

​Curry, the reigning MVP, tried to give it a go but he abruptly ended​ his pre-game warm-up routine.due to some discomfort.

"We want to make sure Steph is right and that his foot is fine and healthy," coach Steve Kerr ​told ​the media. "Fortunately we don't play `til Thursday and he's got some time to get some treatment."

In Curry?s absence, Klay Thompson stepped up with 34 points and a career high 16 free throw attempts. Andre Iguodala
​sank four triples and finished with 18. ​while Draymond Green added 12 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists.

James Harden paced the Rockets with ​28 points and 11 assists​. Harden ​made 13 of 15 free throws after not attempting ​a single free throw in Game 1. ​Dwight Howard ​registered ​12 points and 10 rebounds ​before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.

Steph Curry (L) a no-go in Game 2 cheered on the Warriors, who beat the Rockets for a 2-0 series lead.
