Weights OK for Saturday night fights in Benguet. Both southpaw Argie "Bomba" Toquero, a prot?g? of the Manny Pacquiao Gym and "The Samurai" Takaya Kakutani (7-4, 6 KO's) of Osaka, Japan, scaled-in at identical 130 lbs (above photo) ahead of their collision for the vacant WBC Youth World Super Featherweight crown Saturday October 4 at La Trinidad Municipal Gym in Benguet, Philippines.

The 21-year-old Argie Toquero (7-3-1, 5 KO's), who comes from knocking out four of his last five opponents, aims at punishing the Nippon warrior for defeating his friend Mike "Tyson" Tumbaga last year in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.

Will the Filipino be able to dominate the hard-hitting Green Tsuda boxer to grab the brand new WBC Youth Champion Belt? Or will the 23-year-old Japanese scalp another Pinoy?

In the exciting co-main event, striker Sonny "The Pinoy Hearns" Katiandagho (7-1, 5 KO's) of General Santos City and "The Leopard" Allan Tanada (13-2-3, 5 KO's) of Zamboanga Sibugay tipped the scales at 140 lbs ahead of their inevitable collision for the WBC Youth World Super Lightweight Title, and there is no turning back.

All fighters pose during the weighin.

The card's special attraction features the unbeaten hard-hitting cousin of super star Manny Pacquiao, Joneil Dapidran Pacquiao, in a danger zone against big heart Pampangue?o Jeffrey Garcia. The battle is a six-round war in the super featherweights and both fighters made weight.

Will Joneil Pacquiao score his sixth consecutive win, maybe by knockout... or will Jeffrey Garcia stop him? You have to be at La Trinidad Municipal Gym to know.

In another clash, Gabutan and Espanosa made weight as well. The popular Dayer "Die Hard" Gabutan, a former WBO Oriental bantamweight (118 lbs) champ, is up against tough 22-year-old Mike Carl Espanosa of Bacolod. Their non-title 8-rounder is in the featherweight class.

Also, "The Warai Warrior" Mateo Handig (13-6, 7 KO's) returns to action after one year off the grid to take on Flyweight Julious Bala (3-2, 1 KO) of the Fernando Alvarez Boxing Stable of Para?aque.

Will Handig be too cold and out-of-distance cuz of the inactivity, perhaps showing signs of ring rust... or will he be sharp as a razor? This wild west duel 6-rounder will surely thrill fans.

Then, local 24-year-old Nathan Bolcio (11-6-2, 4 KO's) of Kapangan, Benguet, and his opponent the experienced 48-fight veteran Danelo Pe?a, born in Tiwi, Albay Province made weight. They want some of the spotlight too, as the two will tangle in a non-title eight-rounder in the featherweight division. This fight is a matter of honor.

And there's more. Jhunar "Vanish" Rivas (1-2-1, 0 KO's) of Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija, will see action against debutant Gerry Kalaw of Batangas in a 4-round affair in a 122-lbs class.

Plus, early in the evening, Jeven Villacete from the Queen City of the South, Cebu, will have to deal with local Benguet fighter Benjamin Bartolome of Barangay Beckel in La Trinidad in a six rounder in the 108 lbs weight class division.

Fans at LT Gym will surely cheer for the home town boy, Bartolome. That is why Villacete will have be strong, fast and keep his focus. May the best man to win.

Doors @ LT Municipal Gym open at 5pm. The first rumble begins at 6pm. You plan to miss all the action? We hope not!

Cuz it will be an exciting evening of boxing. Bring your family and friends.

The double WBC Youth card is a production of local Benguet promoter Brico Langbay Santig, director of Highland Boxing, in association with AFS Promotions and the support of the government of the Municipality of La Trinidad.

WBC Supervisor is Rafael M. Diokno of the Games and Amusement Board (GAB).

Matchmaker Ericson Santig.

Special thanks go to Aileen & Ferdie Syskowski, Lorna Aquino, Maryjane Gacad, Ruben Bugnosen and Paul Cuyupan.
