In what has been described as a cracking fight card in Taal, Batangas this Saturday, promoters Edgar De Castro and Ryuta Kato with the support of Mayor Michael Montenegro have lined up four title fights headed by the WBO Oriental Super Flyweight Championship between champion Warlito Parrenas of the United Boxing Gym in Malate and tough Indonesian challenger Espinos Sabu.
Also on tap will be the Philippine Flyweight Championship between rugged veteran Ardin Diale and undefeated Renerio Arizala of the Arci Boxing Stable in Mandaluyong City.
In a clash for the vacant WBC Youth Super Flyweight Championship, Rene Dacquel of the United Boxing Gym will clash with Menard Avila of the Arci Boxing Stable while in a WBC Asia Light Flyweight Championship Richard Claveras will take on Jonathan Refugio of the Brico Santig Boxing Stable.
In the supporting main event Nino Magboo of the Touch Gloves Boxing Stable in Agoncillo, Batangas will face off against veteran Rex Olisa of the Cocoy Elorde Boxing Gym in what promises to be another exciting bout.
In a ten round super bantamweight bout, hard-hitting Rey Juntilla will go up against Jovil Marayan while in an eight rounder undefeated Jonathan Del La Cruz will be tested by unbeaten Jheritz Chavez.
Three more eight rounders featuring bantamweights Marlon Arcilla and Lowell Saguisa, super bantamweights Eric Panza and Andrew Palas and featherweights Jon-Jon Estrada and Gilbert Donasales and a curtain raiser over four rounds between Jason Dogelio and Albert Pentecostes will complete the card with the bouts scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
Viva Sports will cover the fight card which will be telecast on its top-rated program ?The Main Event? on Pinoy Box Office (PBO) on Sky Cable at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 11 with a replay on the following day at 10:30 a.m. with the second part to be telecast on October 18.
The 31 year old Parrenas known as Wars Katsumata who fights out of Japan is a heavy puncher with a record of 19 knockouts in 21 wins with 6 losses. He is currently ranked No. 4 in the world by the WBO. His 25 year old Indonesian opponent Espinos Sabu has a record of 11-1-1 with 5 knockouts.
Sabu won the Indonesian Professional Boxing Commission flyweight title beating Frans Damur Palue on October 27, 2013 but dropped a unanimous twelve round decision to Rusalee Samor last April 18.
Parrenas won the OPBF title when Junior Bajawa retired in the 6th round on June 7 this year after which Parrenas scored a 3rd round TKO in a scheduled ten round bout against Richard Garcia whom he dropped three times in the third round with vicious body shots.
26 year old veteran Ardin Diale who has a record of 23-9-3 with 10 knockouts defends his Philippine flyweight title against undefeated 20 year old Renerio ?Amazing? Arizala who sports a record of 11-0-1 with 4 knockouts.
Diale has successfully defended his title three times after winning it by a 7th round knockout of Mhar Jhun Macahilig on April 14, 2012.
He lost in a bid to win the OPBF title when he suffered an 8th round knockout at the hands of Japam?s Koki Eto last June 17 while Arizala is coming off a unanimous ten round decision win over JC Francisco in a Luzon Professional Boxing Association light flyweight title bout on May 25 this year.
