
FOUR TITLE FIGHTS IN BLOCKBUSTER CARD IN TAAL, BATANGAS

Fight fans in Taal, Batangas are in for a fistic treat when a blockbuster card featuring four different title fights under the aegis of United Boxing International Promotions led by promoter/manager Edgar De Castro and Kyuta Kato with the support of Mayor Michael Montenegro takes place on October 4 at the Taal Sports Complex.
In the main event WBO Oriental super flyweight champion Warlito Parrenas will defend his title against Indonesian challenger Espinos Sabu while in a Philippine flyweight championship bout Ardin Diale will defend his crown against Renerio Arizala.
In a clash for the vacant WBC Youth super flyweight championship Rene Dacquel will face Menardo Avila while in a battle for the WBC Asia light flyweight championship Richard Claveras will go up against Jonathan Refugio.
The 31 year old Parrenas known as Wars Katsumata who fights out of Japan is a heavy puncher with a record of 19 knockouts in 21 wins with 6 losses. He is currently ranked No. 4 in the world by the WBO.
 
He will face 25 year old Indonesia Espinos Sabu who has a record of 11-1-1 with 5 knockouts.
 
Sabu won the Indonesian Professional Boxing Commission flyweight title  beating Frans Damur Palue on October 27, 2013 but dropped a unanimous twelve round decision to Rusalee Samor last April 18.
 
Parrenas won the OPBF title when Junior Bajawa retired in the 6th round on June 7 this year after which Parrenas scored a 3rd round TKO in a scheduled ten round bout against Richard Garcxia whom he dropped three times in the third round with vicious body shots.
 
26 year old veteran Ardin Diale who has a record of 23-9-3 with 10 knockouts defends his Philippine flyweight title against undefeated 20 year old Renerio ?Amazing? Arizala who sports a record of 11-0-1 with 4 knockouts.
 
Diale has successfully defended his title three times after winning it by a 7th round knockout of Mhar Jhun Macahilig on April 14, 2012.
He lost in a bid to win the OPBF title when he suffered an 8th round knockout at the hands of Japan?s Koki Eto last June 17 while Arizala is coming off a unanimous ten round decision win over JC Francisco in a Luzon Professional Boxing Association light flyweight title bout on May 25 this year.
 
In a clash for the vacant WBC Youth super flyweight championship 23 year old Rene ?Commander? Dacquel who has a record of 11-3-1 with 3 knockouts  takes on 20 year old Menard Avila who has a record of 5-1-4 with 1 knockout.
Dacquel is coming off a split draw over ten rounds against Ryotaro Kawabata of Japan in a bout for the vacant WBC Youth title last July 21 while Avila is fresh from a six round split decision win over Fidel Cuyno last July 28.
In a WBC Asia Boxing Council light flyweight championship Richard ?Explosive? Claveras, the 25 year old with an impressive record of 9 knockouts in 9 wins with no defeats at 2 draws battles 21 year old Jonathan Refugio who sports a record of 13-4-4 with 3 knockouts.
Claveras won the title with a 1st round knockout of Namphol Sithsaithong last June 7 and successfully defended his title also  by a st round knockout of Veeradej Manopkanchang last August 22.
The fights will be covered by Viva Sports and telecast on a delayed basis on the top-rated weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? telecast on Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. over Pinoy Box Office (PBO) on Sky Cable with a replay on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
