Hugely Popular Mexican veterans Jhonny Gonzalez and Jorge "El Travieso" Arce posed for the cameras today in Mexico in promotion of their battle for the WBC Featherweight World Title on October 4 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, the hometown of Arce.

Jhonny Gonzalez was accompanied by his legendary Hall-of-Famer trainer don Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain, 75, who is also the trainer of multi-division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

The Gonzalez-Arce fight, promoted as "Honor y Gloria," will be Jhonny Gonzalez's (56-8, 47 KO's) second defense of the WBC featherweight crown that he captured by knockout out in one round former unbeaten champ Abner Mares last year in Los Angeles. Shall Gonzalez defeat Arce, his rematch against Mares is highly possible.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Arce (64-7-2, 49 KO's), will look for another title to a career that has seen him capturing world titles in weight classes from Jr. Flyweight (108 lbs) to Super bantamweight (122 lbs). Now Arce wants the Featherweight belt in possession of Gonzalez. Will he be able to win it?

Not easy. Despite knocking out his last three opponents, Arce is not the favorite. A large number of fans see Gonzalez defeating "El Travieso," though an experienced hard-hitting former champ as Arce shall never be underestimated.

The Gonzalez-Arce fight in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, is a production of Oswaldo Kuchle of Promociones del Pueblo to be aired live in TELEVISA.
