
PARRENAS TO DEFEND OPBF SUPER FLYWEIGHT TITLE ON OCTOBER 4

World Boxing Organization Oriental super flyweight champion Warlito Parrenas is set to defend his title at the Taal, Batangas Sports Complex in a big fight card staged by United Boxing International Promotions on October 4.
The 31 year old Parrenas known as Wars Katsumata who fights out of Japan is a heavy puncher with a record of 19 knockouts in 21 wins with 6 losses.
He is currently ranked No. 4 in the world by the WBO. He will face 25 year old Indonesia Espinos Sabu who has a record of 11-1-1 with 5 knockouts.
Sabu won the Indonesian Professional Boxing Commission flyweight title beating Frans Damur Palue on October 27, 2013 but dropped a unanimous twelve round decision to Rusalee Samor last April 18.
Parrenas won the OPBF title when Junior Bajawa retired in the 6th round on June 7 this year after which Parrenas scored a 3rd round TKO in a scheduled ten round bout against Richard Garcxia whom he dropped three times in the third round with vicious body shots.
Also on the same card 26 year old veteran Ardin Diale who has a record of 23-9-3 with 10 knockouts defends his Philippine flyweight title against undefeated 20 year old Renerio ?Amazing? Arizala who sports a record of 11-0-1 with 4 knockouts.
Diale has successfully defended his title three times after winning it by a 7th round knockout of Mhar Jhun Macahilig on April 14, 2012.
He lost in a bid to win the OPBF title when he suffered an 8th round knockout at the hands of Japam?s Koki Eto last June 17 while Arizala is coming off a unanimous ten round decision win over JC Francisco in a Luzon Professional Boxing Association light flyweight title bout on May 25 this year.
