Cuadras.
Undefeated WBC super flyweight champion Carlos ?The Prince? Cuadras has vowed to successfully defend his title against former world champion Sonny Boy Jaro of the Philippines on September 20.

The WBC said Cuadras plans to retain his title for the long haul.
The undefeated Cuadras who has a record of 30-0 with 27 knockouts won the title last May in Mexico City from Thailand?s Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.

The WBC reported that Cuadras ?is convinced that he has what it takes to face and vanquish any challenge as world champion? including the challenge of rugged Sonny Boy Jaro who has a record of 67-13-5 with 27 knockouts.

Cuadras said ?I have already fulfilled my first dream to be world champion of the WBC. Now the most important next step is to be a durable champion proudly representing Mexico.?

Cuadras conceded that ?the hardest thing is to maintain myself in this place. In boxing you must make many sacrifices to stay atop this premium level. We are very encouraged by the things that are coming in our future.

Meantime. Sonny Boy Jaro, a prot?g? of manager/promoter/trainer Aljoe Jaro has been sparring with IBF flyweight champion and former Olympian Amnat Ruenroeng in Thailand.

Sonny Boy Jaro is a devastating puncher who is best known for his victory over longtime WBC flyweight champion and ?Fighter of the Year? Pongsaklek Wonjongkam whom he demolished to win the world title on March 2, 2012 by a stunning 6th round TKO.

The Filipino dropped Pongdsaklek once in rounds one and three and twice in round six to score a smashing victory but lost the title by a split decision to Japan?s Toshiyuki Igarashi on July 16, 2012.
