Tello.
Panamanian title contender Walter "El Raton" Tello of Panama has arrived in Shanghai, China, ahead of his 12-round clash against Filipino southpaw Randy "Razor" Petalcorin for the WBA interim Jr. Flyweight (108 lbs) belt on Tuesday (August 26) at the plush Mercedez Benz Arena in Pudong, Shanghai, China.

"It was a really long trip from Panama. But I am happy to be here in Shanghai to fight Petalcorin," said Walter Tello, a Police officer in Panama, currently rated as Jr. Flyweight #6 by the WBA.

"Me and my coach Mr. Agrazal have just checked my weight at the hotel's gym. It's an appropriate weight for today (Wednesday) as weigh-in is next Monday. We worked out hard in Panama and now we feel good and strong. This fight here in Shanghai is a golden dream. I will not let pass this chance to become a champion," commented a smiley Walter Tello, wearing a dark sweating suit and red cap while seating at the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel Shanghai.

The 27-year-old Panamanian comes from knocking out unheralded compatriot Erick Flores to capture the WBC Latino 108 lbs strap last June in Panama.

Meanwhile, in his last outing, Petalccorin, 22, again pulverized Thai veteran Samransak Singmanasak (35-23-1, 23 KO's) last March.

The manager of Petalcorin is former YVB promoter of the year Peter Maniatis of Australia.

Judges for the fight are: Derek Milham of Australia.

Ferlin Marsh of New Zealand and Pinit Prayadsab of Thailand. The third man in the ring will be Raul Caiz Sr. of California, USA.

Will the younger "Razor" Petalcorin be too sharp for Tello? Or will the more experienced Walter Tello score the fantastic win over Petalcorin to become the world champion # 30 born in Panama?

We'll find out Tuesday night.
